Yes, another project from the Matheny home :-) We are ALWAYS doing projects around here! This project was from Maggie Kate, she is learning about nocturnal animals. The project consisted of her having to find facts, draw a picture, and make a puppet of her animal. Maggie Kate chose a wolf since they are in the dog family, and she is a major dog lover! She did research on the computer and read a book to find all the facts. Next she made a list of all the things she would need for her puppet. Then off to the store she and her daddy went for the supplies. When they got home Maggie drew out the plans on how she was going to make the puppet, then I helped her put it together since there was a hot glue gun involved. We had fun working on it, and I think it turned out cute!
PS~ I am so glad I have this blog now, because Meredith, Mitchell, & Mallory did this same project when they were in 1st grade and I can not remember their animals. So sad! And also, I will not feel so guilty when I toss their projects in the trash after trying to keep them for so long, because I will have pictures and a journal entry about them ;) One more reason to have a blog!!!

I know I say it too much- but I just can't believe she is old enough to search on the internet and read books- my goodness. :) What an awesome wolf, Maggie Kate.

Heather, your family is so busy with school projects! How fun that you are documenting them all! Our house just finished 2 projects. That wolf is so cute and she did a great job with it! All of the projects out of the Matheney look awesome! I see there is some competition there. So, glad you guys live in TN! LOL, take care,
