Projects, projects, projects...is there ever an end to all the projects?

Today Meredith was home from school sick today(bronchitis, same as Mallory) so as she felt better she worked on her U.S. History project. The project is that each student pick a famous person and make a pumpkin look like that person. Meredith chose Orville Wright, and she did a great job.

Meredith said after she got done "I am so glad that you and dad have taught us independence, because most of my friends parents do all of their work for them". I think she was really proud of the job she had done :-) It is true they get what they earn!

That looks great! That is a great project idea, too! It's nice that she acknowledges being independent and the confidence and satisfaction that comes from doing it all by herself. Maybe I'll receive that thank you some day... Ü
