Changes

Today is a day we will always remember. It's a day of big change for our family. Just a few hours ago Michael went into the HR office of the company he has been employed at for almost 15 years to sign papers taking a buyout that they are offering. The buyout is great, but we never intended to take it. We always thought we would retire from there. We have found out that Heavenly Father has other plans for our family. Just a couple of days after his company laid the plans for the buyout on the table, another company started calling. He interviewed with them last Tue. They called with an offer on Sat. The offer is one that we can't pass up. We feel very blessed and we know it's meant to be. So, me being the attached, non-changing person that I am, I sit here with tears in my eyes. I am so grateful for the employment Michael has had with his current employer. They have paid for all of his schooling. He started on the line in paint while in school, then soon after he got his bachelors he went into HR. While in HR they paid for him to get his MBA. Once he got his MBA he went into management and has worked his way up. He has had a great career there. They have been so generous to our family. We have so many great memories with our kids when they were little at the BIG Easter Egg hunt and the BIG FAMILY DAY. We feel like we have kinda grown up there. It will be missed. Such good memories!!! The new job is such a blessing I know but I am such a stay in one place until you retire person that this is somewhat hard no matter how good the other is. Some great things with the new job is that, we aren't moving, he won't travel, and NO NIGHT SHIFT! We are thankful to a loving Heavenly Father who is always looking out for us and always knows what is best. Our new journey begins Sept. 15th....

These pictures are of past Easter Egg (candy) Hunts. Our kids would always do a count down for this day!!!

Mitchell hunting...Meredith became to old to hunt this past year. Can you tell how happy they are with the candy they get?Maggie was scared of the bunny for years. This picture was the first year that she would get near it. They always loved to sort and trade.

I really do not really like change either. However, it is very good that you will not have to move and the no night shift sounds great to me! I hate that Dana always works night. He got promoted last week to Chief Deputy...but still on nights! The Candy Hunts look awesome! I am sure everything will work out wonderfully!

I am so happy for you all! That is awesome. Remembering what you told me about it, he buyout sounds like a pretty good deal. Change is good, but hard. I am so happy you don't have to move. I would miss you all terribly!

I knew it was Nissan!! D worked there for 8 years - it was really kind of hard to leave - but the trips to Japan and MS were just too much (Eli was a newborn, D spent almost a year in Japan off and on during our early days of marriage). He still remembers it fondly...congratulations on the new position, the trusting in God to manage the change...all of it.

That is nice that you guys aren't moving.... But I still think you should consider Mcminnville, or we should consider Murfreesburo... :)

I know change is hard for you but you really do so well once it is all set in stone. It's the thought of leaving that's hard. I know it has been a great place but I am sure the Lord has many great things in store for you all-and he's preparing you for little Max. I am so excited to watch all these blessings of this little guy transpire! Wow did I say a college word already!!! Love you guys and I am so happy for you

Heather Congrats to you and your family. I know these things are coming at a time perfect for your adoption process!

VERY COOL! The buyouts are hard to turn down in general, but to have a great job lined up the same time as a buyout...awesome! I am a VERY FIRM believer that when you do what you're supposed to in church (and ESPECIALLY in church callings) that you're blessed with what you need most.
Guess Michael & I start new paths on the 15th. Exciting!
