Thanksgiving

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
~John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. There's nothing better than being with loved ones and celebrating your many blessings. This year was especially fun with little Max. What a blessing he is to us all. He was definitely a bright spot in our holiday celebrations!
Mama C's house was fun this year...
she surprised Maggie Kate with a pumpkin pie...for her tummy only!
She was sweet and shared with her little brother...
and he loved it!Max had lots of firsts...helping Mama C in the kitchen, eating chocolate gravy, Mama C's yummy fudge, and meeting lots of family. He loved her big house. He roamed and roamed!

There were a few quiet moments...
but no such luck for this tired mama :) Mitchell and Max played a few video games...but most of their time was spent outside playing/working in the yard.

Max LOVED the wheelbarrow rides...just like all the other kiddos always have.
Mama C wanted to get all the leaves raked up to burn but the kids had another idea....PLAY!!

They played outside for two days, from daylight until dark.

Meredith had a job while we were there...it was to teach Mama C how to use her new phone. They woke me up one night with their laughter while Meredith was helping her. Meredith said it was a challenging but funny job!

Grandma Linda's house was nice and cozy, all ready for Christmas. She had freshly picked pecans out and Max had to try them.

A tired boy, ready to get back home after a fun weekend.

Micheal,Heather,and family,
What a memorable Thanksgiving. We have indeed been blessed beyond measure. It was so nice having the house filled with laughter and watching the amazing way that Max communicated with body language as well as the new words that he has learned;using complete sentences in English much of the time. He learns so quickly. His insatiable
curiosity is unbelievable!

We just couldn't keep our hands off of him. He fits right in with the rest of the kiddos. We are definitely in love with him.

Thanks Mitchell, Mallory,Maggie and little Max for helping me with all the yard work.It was fun. Max worked untiringly for hours raking and wheelbarrowing leaves. He did as well as an adult. You can tell that he has had responsibilities and chores in the orphanage. He was so cute folding clothes for his mother.

Meredith, thanks for the help with the new phone. I'm really smooth now; thanks to you.

We enjoyed Eric and Jessica and missed Grant horribly!

Miss you guys bunches. See you soon:)

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving! We enjoyed seeing you for a very brief visit. Max is such a cutie. It tickled me the way repeats everything.

Man! Dustin fixed my sound on the computer while I was at the grocery store just now and now I can't find the post with him singing! I wanted to hear it! Have I lost my mind? Where is it?

(I am slightly wondering if I imagined this. WAS there a post with him singing?)
