Ramblings

Well first of all we have been so busy filling all the orders we have had come in for Meredith's stuff! We are having fun as we work together!

Saturday morning didn't start off so good. I was trying to clean up and get some house work done before we started working. Well, take a look at these pics and you will see that my morning was not starting off good at all!!!

Note to self...don't walk away and forget about that glass of water you are filling! I completely forgot! I started hearing running water. I went into the kitchen to find a huge puddle of water in the floor. Air headed me just forgot I was getting a glass of water. I was out of the kitchen for a long time and I simply forgot...adult A.D.D. maybe? :)
Second note to self...make sure your Lysol disinfectant spray doesn't fall into the washer while you are loading your clothes. I thought I kept hearing a knocking sound. I went to check but didn't find out what it was until the cycle was over. Needless to say that load had to be washed again and again to get the Lysol smell out.

Aha, my knight in shining armor came quickly to my rescue. He always makes me feel so much better. He never fails me. He always helps me clean. He gets my floors so clean. I can't even begin to tell you what all he picks up ;). He really picks up EVERYTHING! I love my Mr. Roomba!!!
We did succeed in getting some shirts stitched out on Saturday despite how the morning started! Here are a few things we got done Saturday...

We made one of these tractor shirts for Garrison's little brother, too.

Lollipop

This little train shirt is for a little boy whom our friends are adopting from China. His Chinese name is Chu Chu. I thought this turned out cute!
(We will post more later.)

Max and Maggie had fun being outside all day on Saturday while daddy worked. They found lots of caterpillars. We probably have dead ones all over our house. They kept bringing them in as pets.As you can see, Max wanted to make sure his cute furry worm (as he called it) didn't escape...hence all the packaging tape :)

On to Sunday... church was wonderful! We had ward conference. The talks were so so good, just what I needed! Pres. Meredith talked about putting our priorities in line, doing the small and simple things. Family prayer, family home evening, daily scripture study.... All the things we already know we need to be doing. It always gives me a boost and it helps me do better, go the extra mile, when I hear a talk on these things.

Funny happening on Sunday: When we got home from church Mallory kept asking me if I could wax between her eyebrows. She did have a little uni going on but not that bad. I said ok but we were out of wax. Next thing you know she comes downstairs with her hands over her eyebrows. No wonder! She had taken a razor and shaved between her eyebrows! She got way to far over on both sides and now her brows are SO far apart! All I could do was laugh out loud. We laughed together!!! So funny! Sorry no pics!

Sunday snapshot....I'm not doing so hot at posting these but I am taking them every Sunday.

On to Monday... I went to the dentist. Oh, yuck! In my adult years I have hated going to the dentist! I think it is because growing up I always went to the same dentist and he was a good one.I have been to several different dentist but can't seem to find a dentist that I feel that same confidence with. I find myself always wishing I could go home and use my childhood dentist!

On to the dreaded visit. Let me begin by telling you my teeth are horrible. They always have been! I have soft teeth and soft teeth come with problems. I brush all the time. I brush so hard my gums are getting brushed away. Yet I still have bad teeth! I am not going to tell you all the problems they found but I will tell you it is not funny! I am going to have shell out mucho money for these teeth of mine. I am so mad! I called Aunt Paige (who is always bringing us skittles)and told her no more candy! I told my kids that their days of getting candy every now and then as a treat are over! NO more!

My cousin Sarah watched Max for me while I went to the dentist. When I went to pick him up I wound up staying for a while. When it was time to leave, I couldn't find my keys anywhere. I looked all around. Then it dawned on me. The van! I went to look and guess what? Yep, they were lying in the seat. Yep, that would be me. I am the queen of locking my keys in my van! I even have key-less entry and still do it! Pitiful! I had a spare but it was in my house and my house was locked. The bad thing about that is I had a spare key to the house hidden outside for years but guess what? Michael brought it in Saturday!!! So, no getting in my house to get the spare! Oh, and Mitchell had a golf match. His clubs were locked in the van, too! Thankfully Sarah let him use her set. I was afraid he would be upset but when he saw the golf towel Trevor got him at the Masters, his face lit up like a Christmas tree and everything was fine.

Thankfully, Sarah was gracious enough to run me around so that I could pick up kids and then drop them off at their various afternoon activities. It turned into a fun afternoon which is typical when you're with her! :)

Later that afternoon Michael came to my rescue with the keys. Then he went on his way to pick up Mitchell from golf. On his way guess what happened? The van broke down! Oh my, what a day! He got it fixed and came home. The next day, which was yesterday, it broke down again on his way to work. We have always said we will drive a vehicle until the wheels fall off and I think we can pretty much say...it's history for that old van! Thankfully we have a third vehicle for him to drive.

On to other ramblings...It's almost dance recital time!!! I always get so excited this time of year!!! I could watch my girls dance 24/7! The second song playing on my blog is a song that Meredith dances to this year. It is a lyrical dance...so beautiful! I fell in love with this song and dance when we had parent observation. It is a very dramatic yet such an elegant dance. I can just see Meredith on that stage! She absolutely takes my breath away when she preforms!

Happy Earth Day!

Mitchell, Mallory, and Maggie Kate's school is celebrating Earth Day by doing different service projects around the county. Mitchell's grade is going to be picking up trash. Mallory is going to the battle field to plant trees and help with the tornado clean up. Maggie Kate's class is going to a local park and will be planting also. Our whole school got these cool T's for this special Earth Day event! Stay tuned to the 5:oo news, you might see one of my kiddos!

Had to get a shot of Meredith on Earth Day, too.

As you can see there is NEVER a dull moment here! And, LIFE IS GOOD that way!
