Every year at Halloween time our church has a chili cook off, and a trunk or treat where we decorate the trunks of our vehicles so that the kids can dress up and go around and get candy. We have so much fun dressing up each year. I love to just get a good wig and throw in some clothes at home with it to make a costume. I do not buy costumes for the girls(unless it is after Halloween dirt cheap and they wear them the next year), with all the dance recital outfits we have and all the money we have spent on them ~ no way. The girls never will wear them though, so they too just find things out of the dress up box with a good wig. This year Meredith was a hippie, Mitchell was a gangster, Mallory a witch , and Maggie Kate a geisha, Michael was a high school football player back in the 80's, and I was his granny who never missed a game. The missionarys chose best costume for each age group. When they called for adult no one got up, but the missionaries chose one anyway. Guess who? Me! Year No. 2 for best costume. I thought Michael's costume was much better than mine though.

Last years costumes 2006~ Meredith was a sick person, Mitchell was a nerd, Mallory and Maggie Kate were witches, Michael was a red neck and I was his punker wife.

in mcminn we have to have ours on Halloween. we tried to suggest doing it different, but bishop said "no"
I love the costumes!! You have the cutest family ever.
Oh my goodness!!! Love the wigs!! The mullet is totally cracking me up! I can not even see my keyboard I am laughing so hard. LOL, I love that your family goes all out for Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays. Our family last year were all renaissance people and this year. ::sadly:: we are not dressing up because we missed our ward trunk or treat. Aden is the only one trick or treating. Kai, doesn't want to! She is 9! that is so sad to me.

You know I think Michael looks really good as a biker guy (last year's photo). I think that should be his new image!!Trish
