Yesterday afternoon while I was cooking dinner, Maggie Kate came in and started talking to me. This is how our conversation went:
MK: Mom, today I was thinking about something at school. I was thinking about when I came out of your tummy. I just blinked a few times, and then I couldn't remember Jesus' face any more.
Me: Well, that is why we have lots of pictures of Him, so that we can see what he looks like through them.
MK: Mom, how exactly did I get in your tummy?
Me: Well, mommy and daddy decided we wanted to have another baby so we prayed and Heavenly Father sent you to us.
MK: (looking very doubtful at me) you mean I just come out of the sky and get in somehow?
Me: No not exactly. We just prayed and you were given to us. Someday when you get older we will explain it in more detail OK.
MK: (giving me the one raised eyebrow look) Mom just tell me.
Me: Well what do you think? (I was beginning to wonder if she had heard something at school)
MK: I don't know, that is why I am asking you!!!
During this conversation Michael was in the living room helping Mallory with her multiplication. He could hear the whole thing so, I said, go ask daddy. I was trying not to laugh as I listened. She asked him all the questions she asked me. He gave her the same answers that I had.
She comes back into the kitchen (with an annoyed look on her face) throws her hands up and says:
"I am never going to find out because y'all are parents and you don't even know!"

Just tell her that you and daddy played human legos together. That might satisfy her. Good luck!!!

That's too funny--quick thinking!
I like Teresa's idea! Is that what happens...human legos!
