Say it isn't so!!!
I can't believe we are already starting back to school. NO, I am screaming!!!
It seems like summer just got started. I always get so sad when school starts back. I love having my kids home with me. I just can't ever get over the fact that when school starts they are there more than at home with their family.
This year begins a new chapter to our lives...Meredith is a (cringing) freshman. I can hardly say it. I think I have been in denial all summer, thinking this was just a dream, and that I would wake at any moment. It is hard to believe how fast time flies! She was up and out the door at 5:45 am this morning heading to early morning seminary. For those of you who don't know what that is, our church has a class for all the high school students each morning before school. There they study and learn the scriptures. This year they are studying the New Testament. At the end of four years they graduate from seminary, just like in school :) I love that she gets this daily dose of spirituality with all her peers. She is excited too!

Our high school-er! I have emotions of sadness and happiness when I think about her today. Sad to see how fast she has grown up. And happy she is getting to go to a HS where so many of her church friends go.
Michael is early morning seminar chauffeur for Meredith and two other families :)
The little crew up and ready to go... Mitchell is going to be in 7th grade this year, Mallory 4th, & Maggie Kate 2nd. I feel so old today!!!
Mallory and Maggie Kate were so excited...
Mitchell was excited to "graduate" to the front seat since his big sister won't be riding with us this year. (Seemed so weird without her in the car.)
We got to school early. I wanted to wait in the car, but they wanted to go to the gym to see their friends.
Socializing already!!! I walked them to their rooms so that I could get a snap shot with their new teachers. Mallory ask her teacher if she could get her desk organized before she started on her work. Then she turned to me and informed me that I would have to wait about the picture until she was through organizing! That's Mallory... little organizer!
1st Day of 4th Grade1st Day of 2nd Grade
Mitchell preferred no pictures this year with his teacher :(
He was a little nervous about 7Th grade.
So, there you have it, our first day back to school. Back to the crazy schedules, homework, projects, going to bed early and waking up early....but I wouldn't miss it for the world!
I love being mom to these 4 kiddos, they make life fun!!!

I got a little teary eyed- not just for the fact that Meredith is going to high school. (You probably remember when I started high school?) But for the fact that I am so sad that my oldest is starting preschool but I will one da be in your same situation sending all my kids off to school all day. I don't know if there is enough housework to keep my mind busy.

I dread Wednesday! Keyton will be in 1st grade!!! I feel like it was only a couple years ago that he was a little baby! Time SURE DOES FLY!!! I hate the end of summer as well. I get so attached to staying at home and playing with them!
