Chinese Kindergarten Visit

Today we went to visit a kindergarten, it was amazing!! Even thought it was amazing, I don't think I could ever send my kids there. It was a boarding school. The kids are dropped off at 7:45am on Monday morning and not picked up until 5:45pm on Friday afternoon. The kids are ages 3-5. I couldn't imagine being away from my little ones that long. It is a really popular school, meaning everyone wants to get in. They usually have around 400 students trying to get in each year and they only accept 100. They choose the children by interviewing them and then they pick the top ones. It reminded us of the kids magnet school in that way. Max got to play with the kids in some of the games. He was really shy though. He loved the playground and the sandbox the most...we are going to need a sandbox! Well that is it for today....only 2 more days until we leave to come home...yippee!!!
The kids were adorable!
The kids were doing morning exercises by swimming.

Check out these shoes!

The kids played a game called drop the handkerchief. Max was it in this picture.

The kids made these beautiful sandals to give to us for coming by.

I think Max loves books.
All the kids shoes.
The beds were so close together. I don't see how the teachers get them to sleep at night, but they told us it was not hard because the kids are so tired.

I loved what they did with these tires.
Uniforms for spring and summer.

Uniforms for fall and winter. Goofy!

The school looks neat, but I am with you...I could NEVER send my kids somewhere that long! I would go crazy!

I know you are anxious to get home and back on track! The kindergarten looks interesting. Max looks like he takes everything in. Are you all visiting the orphanage where he lived for so long?
Hope all is well. Can't wait to meet him.
