Mitchell's first broken bone!

Last Wednesday I did my usual after school routine of pick ups and drop offs. When I dropped off the Solomon gang, I left Mitchell with them so that he could catch a ride to scouts. Not long after I had gone, I got a phone call from Gretchen...You need to come back. I think Mitchell has broken his wrist. I was calm! (Unlike what my hubby would have been like had he been the one to get the call!) I was close to the house, so I asked Gretch if she would mind letting me drop the girls and Max off with mom and just meet me at the Dr.'s office. When I got to the Dr's office, Gretchen and Mitchell were already there waiting. Mitchell was in pain, but funny thing was when I saw him the first thing he did was whisper..."Is my shirt stained?" I laughed out loud!!! He is so funny! Gramma Linda had just bought him a new shirt and he loves it. He wanted to make sure it wasn't stained! Anyway, we got ex -rays and sure enough his wrist was broken in two places. The Dr. thought he wouldn't need a cast. However, we went to the Orthopedic Dr. the next day, and she put a cast on it. As some of you know Mitchell is our OCD child. He likes to have things clean, neat, and always organized. He didn't let anyone sign his cast until a couple of days ago when Meredith's friend was over and ask if she could please, please sign it. I couldn't believe he let her.... I think he may have a little crush!

Well, now we're even with the Solomon's. Last year Andrew broke his arm over here, and now Mitchell has broken his arm over there! ;)
