Finally In Beijing

This has to be the largest Buddha I have ever seen!!! It was in the restaurant where we ate.

The Forbidden City

Arriving at the airport

What an adventure we have had!!! We left our for Beijing on Friday @ 11:15 AM we didn't arrive in until 1:15 PM Sunday! We had a huge delay on our flight to Tokyo which made us have to spend the night there. Northwest put us in a hotel for the night which really was a blessing because we got much more rest. We flew out this morning at 9:30 and arrived in Beijing this afternoon at 1:15. The only down side to all of this was that we only had our carry on luggage which meant no clean clothes! Oh well at least we got a good nights rest.

Our guide, Yoshi, was there to greet us as soon as we got off the plane. He introduced himself and off we went. Our first stop was The Forbidden City, which was amazing. Next stop was dinner, which was...I'll just say interesting :) After picking through our dinner, we were off to an acrobat show. I was amazed at the talent these people had, it was amazing!

Tomorrow we will go to the Great Wall and do some shopping. Tuesday we are off to Guangzhou where we will get Max that afternoon!!!

Girls, we miss you so much!!! It sounds like you are having so much fun though!!! We love you!! We will post pictures tomorrow...right now I am feeling a little dizzy from the jet lag !!!

I have been waiting for a post! I saw your girls trick or treating Friday night and drilled them for info (and in case they really didn't know who I was, remind them that they do know me, or at least they know my kids thru the Solomons, because if you don't, I just looked like a crazy woman with a bowl of candy peppering them with questions about the trip)

Secondly, oddly enough, I think my husband was on the flight right after you! He left Sat AM to fly to Tokyo! He is there on business somewhere this week! How odd...

Okay, pics please!!! How is Mitchell handling all of the travels??

Glad you made it! Will be more happy when you make it back with cute little Max!
A good night rest at the hotel has to be WAY better than sleeping in the airport! Especially for all the sight-seeing & general busy-ness you'll be having!
Looking forward to the pics!
