The title says it all...we are in love with our new little boy. He is a treasure! Mitchell is just smitten with his brother. Max has bonded well with us all. He gets so excited when he sees one of us walk in the room after we have been gone. Today we had his Dr appt and passport appt. Mitchell stayed at the hotel with the Lucas kids so that they could all catch up on school work. When we got finished with all our business our driver swung by the hotel so that we could pick the kids up for dinner. We stayed in the van while they came down. When Mitchell came out of the hotel door Max started pointing and yelling ahh ahh ge ge Mitchell ge ge Mitchell. When Mitchell got in the van, Max attached him with hugs then sat in his lap. He loves to ride on ba ba's shoulders. He loves ba ba. He is doing really well with his English. He answers to Max now instead of Feng Fang (it sounds like Fung Fung spoken really fast.) He is so funny the way he repeats everything we say. We have been getting so tickled at him. He says his ABC's in English really well A-G then after that I don't know what he says. We have been helping him with the rest of the alphabet. When we get to S he repeats it with a southern draw. He says AYES. We all get such a kick out of it. The Lucas family we are traveling with are from Michigan, so they really get a kick out of it :) It has made me realize that we really sound southern in our accents :)
Our guide told us that people love him because he has a really cute Chinese accent. She said that his tones are really cute. He draws a crowd everywhere we go. The people always start talking to him then they just smile at us. Our guide says he always tells him that he loves his mama, ba ba and ge ge. A lady at the restaurant we ate at today kept coming back to talk to him over and over. She said he looks like his ba ba. Michael got a kick out of that! He sings so loud...ALL THE TIME and I LOVE IT!!! The tunes he sing are so familiar but of course I have no clue what he is saying. Our guide told me what one song was about. It is about a watermelon growing big and mama is going to slice a big piece for him to eat. Then, he repeats I love watermelon, I love watermelon. The last part says that mama says oh no you swallowed a seed now the watermelon will grow out you head :):) Another one is about two tigers one has a tail and the other doesn't ??? I think he is going to love singing time in primary!!!
We are so happy to have Max in our family. Our prayers have been answered. He has bonded so well. I walk around all day with so much thanks in my heart for a loving Heavenly Father, who brought us together. I am so thankful for my sweet husband who has a heart as big as Texas! I am thankful that he prayed about this adoption, even when he thought I was crazy:) He is thankful for our little treasure, too! Adoption is amazing! We love Max just the same as our biological children, there in no difference at all...it is truly amazing!!!

Ba ba's side kick...wherever ba ba goes so does Max.

Max loves to wear baba's glasses.

We had to buy him some Crocs. He loves them!

He LOVES animals just like his mama and jie jie Maggie!

His first time to swim!

He was hesitant at first...

after he got use to it, he loved i

He kept trying to look in the water with ba ba's sunglasses, so we got him some goggles.

He and Mitchell playing fuse ball with Aaron.

He so curious about everything. We went to the passport office for pictures today. After he was finished he had to stand by the man and watch everything the man was doing. He had a good report at his Dr's appt.

He weighs 33Lbs.
His eyes are perfect.

Oh I forgot to mention that he can read!!! We were in a store last night and one of the ladies told us he was reading. She opened a book to a picture with a tractor on it. Beside the picture it had Chinese words and English words. He knew what the picture was because of the words. The lady said he can read because he would have no way of knowing what a tractor was where he is from. He continued to read to her...he is one smart cookie!
When we we into this room he hopped right in the chair and started talking to the Dr. Their was a squeaky fish laying there so he picked it up and started to play with it. He was determined to get the squeaker out!!! Before you know it he had it out and in his mouth blowing it himself....stinker!!!

Beautiful teeth!

This Dr. was just smitten with him. She kept smiling at him and laughing at everything he was saying. She told us that he loves us both very much!!!
We had the BEST Chinese food I have ever tasted tonight!!! This lady was taken by Max, too. He is such a charmer!

We love the Lucas family!!! We couldn't have asked for better travel companions. Our families have so much in common. Meredith and their daughter Amber are just alike in so many ways...I have wished so many times that Meredith was here to meet her...she is an awesome young lady!!! Their whole family is awesome!!! We are going to miss them so much. They have been like family to us this past week. We are going to go visit them and vise versa! Their little girl is so precious! She is a tiny little thing only weighing 15 lbs at 15 months old.

When we get back to the hotel and go to the room, Max always opens the door for us. Oh that reminds me.....as we were leaving the hotel today for his Dr appt he had to open the BIG doors for all the adults. He opened them then motioned for us to go....it was the cutest thing!!!
His favorite food is apple.

In his P.J.'s ready for bed!!

Girls we miss you like crazy! We love you! Have a good weekend with Mama C...only one more week then we will be home:)

First- I had no idea you would be gone so long. Is it going to be another adjustment getting him used to regular paced life at home? Although, he seems like such an easy going kid and ready to take on anything. I was just thinking last night about his cute little chinese face with a strong southern drawl coming out. I can just hear it now!! :)
